Weekend getaway at Arger-Martucci Vineyards raises $20,000 for the Michael Bolton Charities

September 22, 2008

Arger-Martucci Vineyards teamed up with American Airlines and the Ritz-Carlton to offer a weekend getaway for two couples to fly out to the Napa Valley and spend a weekend of wine tasting and fine dining with Winemaker Kosta Arger and musician Dave Mason. Flying first class from New York, the couples will arrive in San Francisco and stay overnight at the Ritz-Carlton. The following morning a limousine will take them to the Arger-Martucci Vineyards Winery in St. Helena where they will meet Dr. Arger and spend the day tasting wines and learning about the entire winemaking process. That night, classic guitarist Dave Mason will play an acoustic concert at the Arger’s home followed by a gourmet dinner prepared by Dr. Arger. After spending the night in the Arger’s guest cottages overlooking Odyssey Vineyard, the couples will travel to a specially chosen winery the next day for another private tasting and lunch. The limousine will then take the couples back to the Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco for their final night of the trip.

The package was featured as the big ticket item at the Michael Bolton Charities concert in September and was live auctioned for $20,000 in front of a 1,000 plus person crowd. Established in 1993, the Michael Bolton Charities were created to assist children and women at risk of poverty abuse neglect homelessness and domestic violence.  Entering its 16th year, the Annual Michael Bolton Charities Benefit Concert & Celebrity Golf Classic has helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars that have aided women and children across the country.
